The Synergic Center was honored to host the Exchange Club of Tuscaloosa’s Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Luncheon on Thursday, February 26th. The annual event brings together community leaders, public safety officials, award recipients and their families to recognize the dedication and service of local law enforcement.

The luncheon kicked off with comments by leaders of the Law Enforcement Appreciation Committee, Co-Chairs Captain Randy Vaughn, Director of the Law Enforcement Academy Tuscaloosa and former Tuscaloosa Police Department Captain, as well former Tuscaloosa Police Chief Ken Swindle. The keynote address was given by Katherine Roberson, Chief Counsel for the Alabama Attorney General’s Office. In addition to the keynote, Katherine was presented an award for her continued support of law enforcement.

Recipients were recognized for their exemplary service, leadership, and dedication to protecting our community. The luncheon served as a reminder of the strong partnership between law enforcement and the Tuscaloosa community, as well as the continued appreciation for the officers who work tirelessly to keep residents safe.
