On Wednesday, Synergic Center welcomed partners and friends for a partner-preview of the facility, ushering in a new era of opportunity for Tuscaloosa County. The event celebrated the collaborative potential the center holds, underscoring a core theme of Synergic. Those who attended included officials from Tuscaloosa County, City of Northport, City of Tuscaloosa, and strategic partners of the facility.
A special thank you to cadets of the Law Enforcement Academy – Tuscaloosa, for presenting the flag colors and to Ms. Camisha Shabazz, for her beautiful rendition of the National Anthem, which set the tone for the event.
Following the flag-raising ceremony, Probate Judge Rob Robertson and Maintenance and Facilities Director, Ryan Sabbagh, gave remarks in the newly equipped training room. In Judge Robertson’s remarks he recognized and thanked the many people who contributed to the project, especially the county forces who played a pivotal role, and emphasized the mission of Synergic – “Innovating together for a better tomorrow.”
Judge Robertson further added, “Synergic has been designed to address contemporary problems the community faces. From workforce development to mental health and public safety, the Synergic Center provides an avenue to develop innovative solutions.”
Attendees were also given the opportunity to take a staff-led tour of the state-of-the-art, 47,000 square foot facility, which was originally an abandoned call center. Highlights of the tour included the regional training center, state-of-the-art Law Enforcement Academy, interactive history exhibits, collaborative workspace, and the all-new Central County Maintenance Facility.
The event provided a glimpse into Synergic’s core themes: Innovation, collaboration, and education. In addition, the project was the basis for Tuscaloosa County’s Innovate Alabama Network designation, making Tuscaloosa County the fourth county in Alabama to be designated. We extend our thanks to all the partners who have made this vision possible and look forward to working toward a brighter future for Tuscaloosa County and beyond.
“Innovating together for a better tomorrow.”
