As of October 18th, phase 1, which will serve as the new home to the Law Enforcement Academy of Tuscaloosa (LEAT), is nearing completion. Once completed, LEAT will offer expanded training opportunities for the next era of law enforcement. Phase 2, which includes the regional training center (RTC), has significant progress with lights installed, sheetrock up, and the first coat of paint applied. The RTC will feature a large, 165-person auditorium and three breakout classrooms to support strategic trainings, conferences, and more.
