On December 2nd , the Synergic Center hosted Eve of Liberty Christmas, a commemorative event in celebration of our nation’s upcoming 250th birthday. The event, in conjunction with Dickens Downtown, gave visitors an opportunity to explore Synergic’s Heritage Hall and Freedom Hall. Both halls tell our community and nation’s history through interactive and visual displays.
To highlight the upcoming semiquincentennial, the synergic Center was decorated to resemble Christmas in 1775. Several local groups were on hand, including the Exchange Club of Tuscaloosa who sponsored a Christmas tree, Daughters of the American Revolution, Sons of the American Revolution, and the Tuscaloosa County 250 Committee. Special guests included George and Martha Washington. Additionally, the Synergic Center provided parking and shuttle service to downtown Northport for their Dickens Downtown. Dickens is an annual Victorian era celebration in historic downtown Northport.
